How we judged this

· Lounge visits (domestic + international, from each card's published review) are converted to a per-year count; international visits count double, since they're harder to earn and worth more.
· Cards tagged as a dedicated travel card get a flat bonus on top of the lounge score, since travel benefits usually extend beyond lounges (transfer partners, travel insurance).
· Unlimited lounge access is scored at a ceiling, not an arbitrarily large number — it doesn't automatically outrank a strong finite-visit card with meaningfully better fees.

What counts as a 'travel card' here?

Either a card tagged travel in our catalog, or any card with meaningful stated lounge access — a card doesn't need the travel label to qualify if its lounge numbers back it up.

How often does this ranking update?

Whenever the underlying card reviews change — a fee revision, a devaluation, a new card added — not on a fixed calendar. A month with no movement here means nothing changed on the reviewed cards, not that the check was skipped.
