Last Updated: August 2026
Welcome to CredSutra. By accessing or using our platform at credsutra.in, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms incorporate our Privacy Policy and comply with the Information Technology Act 2000, IT Rules 2021, and relevant Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines.
1. Platform Nature & SEBI Non-Advisory Disclaimer
CredSutra is an independent financial discovery, educational analysis, and credit card comparison platform. All reviews, reward yield calculations, break-even spend models, and devaluation trackers are published strictly for informational purposes.
2. RBI Non-Lender, Non-DSA & Non-LSP Regulatory Disclosure
In compliance with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Master Directions on Credit Card Issuance (2022) and Guidelines on Digital Lending (2022):
- Independent Discovery Platform: CredSutra is not a Bank, Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), Co-Branded Card Issuing Partner, Direct Selling Agent (DSA), or Lending Service Provider (LSP).
- Zero Underwriting & Zero Credit Disbursement: We do not process loan/card applications, do not underwrite credit risk, do not determine credit limits or interest rates (APR), and do not collect KYC documentation.
- Official Redirection: All card application CTAs ("Apply on Bank") redirect users directly to official bank/issuer application portals where the issuing institution exercises sole discretionary authority.
3. Affiliate Transparency & Prevention of Dark Patterns
CredSutra adheres to the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, CCPA Guidelines for Prevention of Misleading Advertisements (2022), and Guidelines for Prevention and Regulation of Dark Patterns (2023):
- Affiliate Compensation: We may receive referral compensation when you apply for financial products through partner links on our platform.
- Editorial Independence: Commercial affiliate agreements never dictate card scoring, reward yield math, tier classification, or ranking algorithms.
- No Dark Patterns: We prohibit deceptive interface designs, hidden charges, false urgency tickers, disguised commercial endorsements, and drip pricing.
4. Bank Terms Verification & MITC Governance
While our automated crawlers and editorial teams verify fee structures, lounge access rules, and reward schedules continuously, issuing banks reserve unilateral rights to modify terms without prior notice.
Cardholders and applicants are strongly advised to inspect the official Most Important Terms and Conditions (MITC) and Schedule of Charges on the issuing bank's portal prior to executing applications.
5. Nominative Trademark Fair Use (Trade Marks Act, 1999)
All third-party bank names (such as HDFC Bank, SBI Card, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, American Express, Kotak, IDFC First), credit card product names (such as Infinia, Magnus, Regalia, Amazon Pay ICICI), and payment network logos (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, Diners Club) are registered trademarks of their respective owners.
Use of these names, marks, and logos on CredSutra is solely for descriptive, comparative, and nominative identification purposes under Section 30 of the Trade Marks Act, 1999 (India). CredSutra is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by these trademark holders unless expressly designated.
6. User Conduct, Security & Scraping Restrictions
Users agree not to: (a) conduct automated scraping or volumetric data harvesting that disrupts platform availability; (b) attempt to reverse engineer proprietary comparison algorithms; (c) misuse WebMCP or API endpoints in violation of rate limits; or (d) inject malicious payloads.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, CredSutra and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from credit application rejections, bank devaluations, billing discrepancies, interest charges, or reliance on calculations presented on this platform.
